WHAT GOD INTENDED FOR MARRIAGE?

God stated after he created Adam that it was not good for man to be alone. So from the rib bone of Adam he created Eve. I'm sure Eve was very pleasing to Adam and Adam likewise to Eve. Genesis 2 v 24 sets the framework / standard straight away for relationships between men and women.
"Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh."
Sex enables husbands and wives to produce offspring within a loving relationship. God has made men and women's personalities, features and bodies attractive to one another. God could have made the act of sexual intercourse to be either painful or uncomfortable or an act with absolutely no sensation. Instead, God in his kindness, chose to create men and women with sexual organs that during sexual stimulation create immense pleasure for their owners. Many fail to appreciate this fact. Sex is a special gift from God. A sexual relationship is fully supported by God within the bounds of a Male - Female Marriage.

There is not ONE (1) VERSE in the Holy Bible that condones or supports SAME SEX MARRIAGE. THIS IS A FACT. As Christians we are called to live Holy lives free from sinful activities. The issue here is not discrimination in terms of taking people rights away but rather It is about confirming and supporting God's definition of Marriage. Marriage is clearly defined in the Bible and in the Community (until 10 years ago) as Heterosexual in nature. A Male and a Female in a loving relationship confirmed by vows at a public ceremony.

It is one matter for same sex adults with decision making ability to live together. It is quite a different matter to bring new born innocent children into this environment. A newborn child has a right to a father and a mother, to be brought up and developed within a loving male and female bond. To understand and value the male and female characteristics and nature. This is a profound truth. Same sex marriages diminish the rights of children and pervert God's ordained framework of fatherhood and motherhood as confirmed in the Bible. See final verses below. It is a tragedy when Legislators simply ignore Biblical truths which have served society so well for 1000's of years simply to satisfy a minority group.

GOD IS A GOD OF LOVE and WISDOM
Genesis 1:1
As Sex and Relationships are gifts from God it's wise to seek the instructions on these issues from the Giver of the Gift, GOD. We should read the Bible (God's Word) to establish what God's recommendations are on relationships and sex. The Bible is a revelation from the mind of God. The mind of the Supreme Creator and Author of Life who made us male and female, stated that one man and one woman were to become one flesh in a marriage relationship. Listening to what the World tells us (through Radio, TV, listening to Lesbian and Homosexuals and Same sex marriage groups) won't lead us to truth because we know that Satan has control of this World for the time being. The minds of many individuals today are being deceived and controlled by Satan. Any deviation from God's original plan for sex between a married man and his wife (or spouse) is a SIN in God's eyes.

BIBLE VERSES ABOUT SEX

FORNICATION
The RSV Translation uses the word fornication in two verses.
Matthew 15:v 19 - RSV
"For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, fornication, theft, false witness, slander."

Mark 7: v 21 - RSV
"For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, fornication, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness,"

WORKS OF THE FLESH
Galations 5:v 19
"Now the works of the flesh are plain: immorality, impurity, licentiousness, etc, etc."

ADULTERY and IMMORALITY
Matthew 5: v 27-29
Jesus said "You have heard that it was said, `Do not commit adultery.'
But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.

1 Corinthians 6: v12-20
(12) "Everything is permissible for me"--but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible for me"--but I will not be mastered by anything.
(13) "Food for the stomach and the stomach for food"--but God will destroy them both. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.
(14) By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also.
(15) Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never!
(16) Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, "The two will become one flesh." [See Genesis 2: v24]
(17) But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit.
(18) Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body.
(19) Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;
(20) you were bought at a price. Therefore honour God with your body.

Matthew 19: v 5 - 6 - RSV
Jesus said "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one?
"So they are no longer two but one. What therefore God has joined together, let no man put asunder."

SAME SEX MARRIAGE
A clear New Testament warning against same sex relationships
Romans 1: v24 - 32
(24) Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.
(25) They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the created things rather than the Creator--who is forever praised. Amen.
(26) Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. (same sex relationships)
(27) In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women, and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, (same sex relationships) and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
(28) Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done.
(29) They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, (30) slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents,
(31) they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless.
(32) Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

The evidence is Clear. Same sex relationships are not condoned by the Bible and therefore have a negative affect on society.

FATHERHOOD
Ephesians 6: v4
"Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord."

Psalms 78: v5b-7
"...he commanded our fathers to teach to their children; that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children, so that they should set their hope in God,"

Matthew 15: v4
Jesus said "For God said, "Honour your father and mother and Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death."

Luke 15: v20
The Prodical son "got up and went to his father.
But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him."

The Biblical evidence is again clear. Fatherhood and Motherhood are critically important for the nuture and development of children. Same sex relationships are a second rate alternative because these pairings ignore God's wisdom (our Creator) as documented in the Bible. For those who force children into this shameful situation, sadly the real losers are the innocent children who are brought up in a dis-functional environment. I don't consider a so called loving relationship between same sex couples can resolve all issues resulting from disobeying God's instructions.

John Eldredge in his book "Wild at Heart" asks where does masculinity come from? He states "A boy learns who he is and what he's got from a man, or the company of men. He cannot learn it from any other place. He cannot learn it from other boys, and he cannot learn it from the world of women. The plan from the beginning of time was that his father would lay for the foundation for a young boy's heart, and pass onto him that essential knowledge and confidence in his strength.......Throughout the history of man given to us in Scripture, it is the father who give the blessing and therefore names the son." (page 62)

If you accept his comments are reasonable, the same instruction and training is also applicable for girls brought up by two homosexual males without the support and female characteristics and nuture of a woman. Same sex parents therefore do not provide an effective model or useful template for child rearing. A real tragedy for the innocent child.

In no way, do I criticise single parents who make the very best of a bad situation often outside their control. Partners die or walk out sometimes giving little or no financial support to the adult who is left. In most times a major shock for remaining partner. However, women who deliberately fall pregnant in a same sex lesbian relationship are in a totally different situation. They are not blameless and this situation should not be promoted as acceptable development path for a child. Legislators who can't see these problems are profoundly misguided.
